Wildfire in South Jersey expected to be contained at 140 acres

A wildfire in Cumberland County has grown to 110 acres but is expected to be contained when it reaches 140 acres, state fire officials said.
The fire burning in the area of Railroad Avenue in Downe Township is 20% contained as of 10 a.m. and no buildings are threatened. Railroad Avenue remains closed between Dividing Creek and Ackley roads.
Firefighters are also using bulldozers as they work to bring the fire under control.
There’s a slight chance of showers in the area through early afternoon before dry conditions prevail this weekend. There’s been no substantial rain the state in a month.
Other firefighters are on the scene of a multi-acre wildfire in Rockaway Township in Morris County and a brush fire near train tracks in Pennsauken.
